Salt room
Salt Room. What is it?
It is a room whose ceiling, walls and floor are covered with salt crystals and during a halotherapy session, a dry salt aerosol is blown into the room.
Halotherapy session.
Halotherapy, or salt therapy, is a non-drug healing method, when, by replicating the natural spaces in nature, people are given health benefits. During the session, finely ground salt particles are blown into the room, like a gentle mist. Because of the calming effect of halotherapy, after the session people feel rested, relaxed, full of positive emotions, recover faster from respiratory diseases. If you visit after an illness and have residual symptoms, such as a prolonged cough or a stuffy nose, you will quickly feel relief because the salt penetrates deep, relaxes the swollen mucous membranes and liquefies the remaining secretions. Visiting a salty environment strengthens immune system and helps you stay healthy. There are no harmful microorganisms and allergens in the salt room, because this environment is not favorable for them.
During the adult sessions, special attention is paid to peace and relaxation. It's time for yourself and with yourself. The lights in the room are dimmed, leaving only the gently soothing pulsation of changing colors, quiet relaxing music and focus on breathing. Often people meditate during the session, others even fall asleep.
During the children's session, the atmosphere is more like a playroom. With music for children or fairy tales playing in the background, the little ones can have fun in the play corner, where there is furniture adapted for children, a kitchenette, and plenty of safe educational toys suitable for even the smallest children. You can also carry books and read. Our goal is a quality time together. We aim for children and parents to communicate with each other, to pay attention to each other and, together with the main factor - breathing salt-saturated air, to be charged with the best emotions.
Halotherapy is recommended if you are bothered by:
- Chronic lung diseases Atopic dermatitis
- Bronchial asthma Psoriasis
- Respiratory diseases Seborrhea
- Allergic rhinitis Acne
- sSinusitis, pharyngitis, rhinitis Insomnia, stress, anxiety
Also it helps:
- For the prevention of viral infections and colds
- For the prevention of skin diseases
- For the prevention of allergic diseases
- For cleaning the respiratory tract from atmospheric pollution, tobacco smoke
- For strengthening immunity
- For harmonizing the vegetative nervous system
- For improving the mental and emotional health
For respiratory tract and skin hygiene, it is recommended to visit 1-2 times a week.
In case of chronic diseases or residual phenomena after the disease, it is recommended to attend 3-7 times a week, no less than 10-20 sessions.
It is recommended to attend a course of 10-20 sessions twice a year as a preventive measure.
Halothery is not recommended:
- In cardiovascular diseases
- During the period of an acute infectious disease (with fever, acute cough, acute viral cold)
- In acute and chronic kidney diseases
- In case of hypertensive disease
- During pregnancy (we recommend consulting your doctor)
Halotherapy procedures are intended for the prevention of acute infectious diseases or the elimination of the residual effects of these diseases, and not for the treatment of acute diseases.
If acute cold symptoms appear - runny nose, cough, sneezing, temperature rise - stay at home!
A bit of history.
In 1843 the Polish doctor Felix Bochkovsky made the assumption that the air of salt mines, saturated with salt particles, has healing properties and can be used in the treatment of respiratory diseases. He founded a clinic in Velichka (near Krakow), where there are famous salt mines, where patients with various respiratory diseases were treated. Speleotherapy (treatment in the microclimate conditions of salt mines) is currently used where there are salt mines - Velichka (Poland), Solotvino (Ukraine), Berezniaki (Russia), Bad Hastein (Germany), Solbad (Austria) and other countries. It was discovered, that the main healing factor is the air of these mines, saturated with particles of salt stone dust. In the 90s of the 20th century, attempts were made to recreate the microclimate of salt mines under artificial conditions. Since the main factor of this method is a dry aerosol of salts, this method was named "halotherapy" (hals - Greek for "salt"). This name reflects the main factor of speleotherapy – a dry, high-dispersion aerosol of natural rock salt, the parameters of which correspond to the microclimate conditions of salt mines. Specially equipped rooms where the halotherapy method is applied were called "salt room" , "halocomplex" (as well as other names - speleocamera, salt cave). The experience accumulated over many years has made it possible to significantly improve the halotherapy method and the equipment for implementing this method. The modern standard for applying the artificial microclimate of salt mines has become the method of controlled halotherapy, with the help of which the microclimate parameters of the salt room are controlled, which are analogous to natural parameters. The method of controlled halotherapy is implemented by installing salt rooms and using halogenerators.
